Arriviamo col pieno fatto, vestiti da moto, concentrati e con la moto in ordine.
We arrive with full tank, proper motorcycle gear, motorbike and rider ready for a challenging ride out.
Siamo attesi per un caffè e cornetto da Lele e Nicla Bravi dopo le 9 e la partenza viene data dopo il briefing per le 9.45.
Ci inoltriamo al margine del Malcantone verso Colmegna sul Lago Maggiore, saliamo in Val Veddasca e scendiamo nel Gambarogno dall’Alpe Indemini.
Ad Ascona saliamo sul Monte Verità e costeggiamo la panoramica fino a Brissago.
Da Cannobbio saliamo in Valle Cannobina e pranziamo alla Trattoria degli Operai al ponte di Falmenta, e breve passeggiata sul fiume.
Saliamo in cima al Piano di Sale e poi segue la Val Vigezzo con la sua grande cattedrale a Re, e le alture sopra a Locarno verso Tenero.
Dal Monte Ceneri ci portiamo velocemente verso Paradiso da dove dopo poche, ma intense curve veniamo accolti dal caldo abbraccio dei nostri amici,
la famiglia Giavatto e dove le caldarroste spadroneggiano!
The start is given after a fast coffee&croissant at Lele and Nicla Bravi’s Tenuta San Rocco in Porza’s heights, then we circumnavigate Malcantone to Colmegna on the Lago Maggiore, from there the famous Monte Verità in Ascona and the lunch in Falmenta on the twisty Val Cannobina road.
In the afternoon we cross the Val Vigezzo and after fantastic views from the Locarno peaks we clim up to Monte Ceneri where we arrive in a glance at Lugano Paradiso and finally in Carabbia at the house of our Giavatto family, some marvellous and hot chestnuts are awaiting us!
